Scent work, Scent work, Scent work!
Lots of different ideas of "scent games" and actually see them in action~with a working DAD dog doing the drills
Ideas for parents of the "younger" kids with DAD's- it's quite different for us when we are training!
"The Day in the Life of training in your home"- it's quite different once you get the dog actually home from Wildrose~ in your own enviornment.
For those of us parents who don't homeschool~ we have DAD dogs that aren't with the child for many hours in the day while the child is at school~ ideas on how to keep the "child and the DAD dog connected"

I know this is a lot to ask for, but here it goes! smiling bouncing smiley I would like a class dealing with what to expect at what age. By that, I mean what should my DAD in training know or what should I be working on when my dog is "X " age. I don't want too go to fast with the training or fall behind. If I had some sort of timeline or guide line it would be so much easier. Kind of like "What to Expect When You are Expecting" or "What to Expect the First Year" except for DADs in training. Does this make sense? I know all dogs and teams are different, but what are WR puppy trainers teaching at what age? Just for the average puppy? I don't ask for much, do I? the finger smiley

I suppose having your pup fully trained in 3 days is out of the question so........

1) Public Access/obedience
2) how to chain in the alert cues with bringsel, alert, meter, etc.
3) Ditto to what Stephanie said
4) Ditto to what Shana said

I can't wait for the Colorado workshop...partly because I get to drive cross country with my family, and partly because of the awesome people at WR, and partly to meet all the new faces and to catch up with the old ones. (Shana and Rachel I don't mean to call you old....but) winking smiley

I agree with all the suggestions, especially Shana's!!! I would like to know if we are on the right course or if we should be devoting more time to certain things & less to others! I sure wish we were going to be able to make it to Colorado to see everyone again & meet others! I'll just vicariously through Shana & her notes! :0)

Missy, wife of Michael (40 something yr old type 1), & mother of Emma (6 yr old type 1), Haley (11 yr old type 1), & Tate (14 yr old bball player) & Emmett (WR DAD puppy in training)...did I get everyone?
